Pay Day Loan Hell!
This morning on the news there was a piece on the US Navy trying to get legislation passed to stop fellow navy people going through "Pay Day Loan Hell". Makes sense that they want to stop the 450% interest that they charge. Makes sense that knowing you are trapped with an interest rate that high would make it hard to focus on your job when you are deployed and when you are not. Makes sense that they would want to stop this. But what does not make sense is why they are not better educating the Navy people on why pay day loans are so bad. It's a 2 fold issue, yes, our Military deserves better. Better pay and better education on money. Since we are not in a position to increase pay we owe it to the service men and women to provide better education on all money issues.  So until I can add a page on pay day loans, please don't use them. It's a horrible cycle. If you are in a desperate enough situation that you need the money that bad, it's likely that you can not realistically make the payment terms either. Be warned!

Look at every money transaction as a way to save.

Look at every money transaction as a way to save.

So the best way to have more money is to quit spending but we all know that it's not a realistic goal. It is a realistic goal to only spend on absolute necessities though. So for every necessity you need to ask yourself "how can I spend the absolute minimal amount to satisfy this need". An example would be food. You have to eat. If you don't you will die. This is an absolute necessity. So how can you spend the least amount? I've been working on a page specific to food, access it here FOOD SAVINGS . A bigger necessity for many people are cars, here's my car savings site   CAR SAVINGS . I like to really think this way when I purchase everything from tires to a hair cut. Next time you are buying anything think how can I save on this purchase... alot of time you just have to ask! Try this one, "can you do any better on the price"? Or another favorite way to save, get a few quotes and negotiate! Let me know your favorite deals and how you got them!

Enough Complaining.... Start doing!
webassets/billorganizer.jpg

This is my favorite organization and budgeting item! It's soooo easy, and it works. Even if I didn't tell you how to use it you would still be able to figure it out. It was by far the best of the cheap type investments I've made. It's saved me on late fees and interest rate hikes by being my double checker and making sure my bills are paid on time. I've seen them everywhere from Target to Office Depot. Now go buy one and use it!
